Septic Tank Installations

Magnum Cesspool Service also installs and maintains Septic Tanks. While you can install a Septic Tank on your own, it is one of those projects that is best left to the professionals. The installation process is not overly difficult, but when installing a Septic Tank, Magnum Cesspool Service of Long Island is the go to source. Magnum Cesspools used a six-step method to installing Septic Tanks.

Step One: Our team assembles the equipment and tools needed for the excavation. This includes a backhoe tractor, trencher, shovel, PVC glue, PVC fittings, hand saws, etc..

Step Two: Our team along with you will comply with state and county health regulations and obtain any permits that may be required for the installation of your Septic Tank System.Part of the permit process usually includes a test to determine the type and size of drainage field you may need for the system you are installing.
Step Three: The flow should have an optimal downward drainage path, which will affect how the system is installed.

Step Four: The hole our team creates will be large enough to set the concrete tank below ground. Most tanks come in two pieces. The bottom portion of the tank shows the division of said tank. The second section receives the effluent material from the house or building. After the initial breakdown of bacterial, the effluence flows into the second section where it will be broken down further.

Step Five: An "inch-and-a-half washed drain rock" should be placed around the piping. This holds the pipe steady and is required by most health departments.

Step Six: The final step is covering up the pipe and tank once we have received a green tag from the Health Inspector.
